This case study is based on the Decisions in Multiple Contexts: A Leader’s Guide table from Snowden and Boone (2007) (pg 6 of attached pdf). The purpose of this activity is to develop your experience and expertise in applying the Cynefin framework to an organizational context. To accomplish this, you will be creating a case study on your chosen organization (WWP) through the lens of Cynefin concepts.
You are required to produce a PowerPoint presentation to present your case study. You can develop your own format or use the provided template. If you choose to use the template, feel free to adjust the pages, elements, style, design, and content as necessary for your environment and preferences.
Make sure that your case study includes the following elements:
– PowerPoint presentation
– cover page with the assignment title
– CPO name and your name
– a table of contents or outline
– brief background on your CPO
– brief summary of problems or opportunities to address
– Cynefin domain descriiption for the problem or opportunity
– descriiption of how the leader should respond based on the domain
– what danger signals are evident
– what is a potential solution
– references, if applicable

To further illustrate how ineffective a dissonant leader can be, we focus on how positivity can make a difference at work and in your life.
Read the articles (both attached):
– Positive Affect and the Complex Dynamics of Human Flourishing
– Updated Thinking on Positivity Ratios
Prepare a position paper (do you agree or disagree) that is a minimum of 1,200 words with respect to their research. Be sure to research other theorists on positivity to support your position.
The textbooks for this course are:
– Boyatzis, R. & McKee, A. (2005). Resonant leadership: Renewing yourself and connecting with others through mindfulness, hope and compassion, (5th ed.). Harvard Business Publishing.
– McKee, A., Boyatzis, R. & Johnston, F. (2008). Becoming a resonant leader, (8th ed.). Harvard Business Publishing
(I do not have sharable versions of these books. If you have access to them, please use for at least two of the required citations. If not, just use other scholarly articles and relevant material to the topic.)

Read Chapter 2 of the workbook “Becoming a Resonant Leader.”
Complete the exercise titled, “Am I a Resonant Leader?” on page 42.
After completing the exercise, you will now have likely discovered that many people operate on poor assumptions on what great leadership is. You now realize that emotions matter and are contagious. From your work assignment, you have a greater self-awareness of your status as a resonant leader. Resonant leaders need to be highly self-aware, manage themselves in stressful and complex environments, empathize with others, and lead others to get the job done. Based on your outputs from the workbook exercise, describe what surprises you discovered about yourself as a resonant leader. Cite examples where you feel you fell short.
The textbooks for this course are:

Instructions:
Provide one or two examples of when you have behaved in a dissonant manner.
For the example:
– State the situation.
– What actions did you take? Be specific on demonstrating dissonant behaviors.

– What did you learn?
– How you would handle the situation differently if it happened again?
