Advertising or Free Speech? The Case of Nike and Human Rights
For this week’s discussion read the brief case study about Nike (p.101 in the textbook).
A case study is a puzzle to be solved, so before reading and answering the specific questions, develop your proposed solution by following these five steps:
Read the case study to identify the key issues and underlying issues. These issues are the principles and concepts of the course module, which apply to the situation described in the case study.
Record the facts from the case study which are relevant to the principles and concepts of the module. The case may have extraneous information not relevant to the current module. Your ability to differentiate between relevant and irrelevant information is an important aspect of case analysis, as it will inform the focus of your answers.
Describe in some detail the actions that would address or correct the situation.
Consider how you would support your solution with examples from experience or current real-life examples or cases from textbooks.
Directions:
Discuss the concepts, principles, and theories from your textbook. Cite your textbooks and cite any other sources if appropriate. Your initial post should address all components of the question with a 500 word limit.
Reply to at least two discussion posts with comments that further and advance the discussion topic.

FeasibilityStudyCase Study A feasibility study includes information to support the decision to move forward with the business idea or not to move forward with the business idea. Read the case study “Trailer Walla: Evaluating an Opportunity” in Chapter 4 of the textbook. Answer the following standard feasibility questions below based on the Trailer Walla case. Is the benefit or return worth the time, effort, and money needed to build the business? What risks or obstacles are involved, and can these risks or obstacles be eliminated or mitigated? What operational processes are needed, and what control systems are necessary to meet industry and internal expectations? What resources are needed, and where will the resources come from to optimize the success of the business? (Answering these questions comprise a standard section of a business plan.) In constructing your case study, follow the instructions below. Include your explanations for each of your answers. Using business theories and concepts, identify two next steps that Ramesh should take to determine if they should continue building this business idea. Explain the reason you selected these two next steps and what would be accomplished by following through on these steps. Summarize your preliminary feasibility analysis by recommending a business model for Ramesh’s business idea. (Identifying a business model is a standard part of a business plan.) Be sure to use subheadings in your assignment as opposed to a question-answer format. Your case study should be at least two pages in length, not counting the title or reference page. References should include a minimum of two credible sources. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.

Leadership Practice: The Vice President of operations recently promoted you to branch manager and moved you to a new branch office where the morale among employees is low and performance is poor. Of the five employees, Amani has the most tenure with six years. Amani seems to have the lowest morale and is not motivated to do the work, although he is quite capable of doing it successfully. Bassmah has been with the company for four years but has not mastered the new software and is performing at a low level even three months after being trained on the software. Hadeel also has four years with the company and Rawan has two years. Hadeel and Rawan are responsible for client contact, and while in the past they worked well together on reaching out to clients, now there are conflicts and low morale. Samah has been with the company just three months and does not understand what is expected on the job and is contemplating leaving the company. Approach the case as the branch manager well versed in situational leadership. Explain situational leadership to your Vice President.
Determine the readiness level of each employee and explain your reasoning.
Determine the appropriate leader behavior to match the employee level and explain your reasoning.
Develop a plan of action as to how you will lead each person to higher performance and morale and explain it to your Vice President.
Directions:Write an essay that includes an introduction paragraph, the essay’s body, and a conclusion paragraph to address the assignment’s guide questions. Do not address the questions using a question-and-answer format. Your well-written paper should meet the following requirements:Be 3-5 pages in length, which does not include the title and reference pages,
writing standards APA style guidelines.
Support your work with course material concepts, principles, and theories from the BA literature and at least three current, scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles. Current articles are those published in the last five years.

The butterfly effect, an idea from chaos theory in mathematics refers to the way a minor event – such as the movement of a butterfly’s wing – can have a major impact on a complex system such as the weather. Dirty data can have the same impact on a business as the butterfly effect. Organizations depend on the movement and sharing of data throughout the organization, so the impact of data quality errors is costly and far-reaching. Such data issues often begin with a tiny mistake in one part of the organization, but the butterfly effect can produce disastrous results, making its way through MIS systems to the data warehouse and other enterprise systems. When dirty data or low-quality data enters organizational systems, a tiny error such as a spelling mistake can lead to revenue loss, process inefficiency, and failure to comply with industry and government regulations.
Explain how the following errors can affect an organization:
• A cascading spelling mistake
• inaccurate customer records
• Incomplete purchasing history
• Inaccurate mailing address
• Duplicate customer numbers for different customers
Be sure to use the Rubric as a guide to the requirements.
Your paper should include responses to the five errors. Please do not use bullet points for your responses. Instead, consider using subheadings and write a paper that flows from paragraph to paragraph. Use APA format (double-spaced) and cite any resources.
