Research on the Planning Strategies of Renewable Energy in Guinea-Bissau Cities
Research on the Planning Strategies of Renewable Energy in Guinea-Bissau Cities
Research on the Planning Strategies of Renewable Energy in Guinea-Bissau Cities under the Background of Energy shortages, academic tone,Specific comments and suggestions are listed below:
1.The survey analysis shown in the sub-chapter 3.3 is not deep enough and is too fragmented to get the point of the main findings. It is necessary to be better structured with a further summary of survey findings.
2.Regarding the questionnaire survey, many important information is missing. For example, how many questionnaires were distributed and how many of them were effective? Where, when, and how they were answered, e.g., online or on-site? What were the professional and educational backgrounds of the respondents? The author needs to provide more information about the questionnaire survey.
3.As desсrіptive research, the thesis aims to explore application strategies of renewable energy in Guine-Bissau through a questionnaire survey and data statistical analysis. In my point of view, it will be useful and significant to interview the various stakeholders, e.g., the government, NGOs, and private sectors.
4.Regarding the main contents of the thesis and the pursued master program of urban and rural planning, in my point of view, the “application” in the title may be replaced by “planning”.
5.Sub-chapter 3.2 focused on the literature review, as the author wrote “This literature review aims to provide an overview of existing research on the comparison of energy demand for different buildings in cities in Guinea-Bissau”. I would suggest this sub-chapter be moved and incorporated into Chapter 2 “Literature Review”.
6.In general, the research findings and recommendations need further refinement and improvement. Since many findings and recommendations presented are not well-targeted.
7.The layout and format of the thesis should be improved, particularly the sub-chapter 3.3.
8.The pages of the thesis are not correct.
9.Many figures are not clear enough, for example, Figure 18, Figure 23, Figure 26, Figure 27, Figure 28, Figure 29, Figure 31, Figure 32, Figure 33, etc.
10.Many of the references are formatted incorrectly.
11.There are some misspelled words, grammatical errors, and incorrect use of uppercase or lowercase subtitles. Some sentences are incomplete or too long to understand. The author needs to read the thesis carefully and modify it. 1. The format of the paper needs to be readjusted. There are many formatting errors. 2. Chapter 1.1 There is no main text below the title. 3. The picture serial number is wrong. All pictures need to indicate the source of the picture. 4. Is the content of Figure 3-2 incorrect? The framework content of Chapter 3 Urban Energy Demand Survey needs to be elaborated. There are too many pictures and formatting errors in this chapter. The text desсrіption should not be just a desсrіption of picture information. Chapter 5 suggests supplementing the relationship between different energy application strategies and urban space, not just policy content.
